Collaborate

Our core values lie in collaboration with individuals, businesses and third sector organisations. We believe education and partnerships are key to making a real difference to the quality and longevity of our planet.

We are a self-funded grassroots organisation and are proud to have worked with many leading influencers and change-makers across a variety of sectors and industries at our events.

Our events have attracted a wide audience of industry professionals, start-ups and third sector organisations who are fully engaged in the sustainable agenda. We are proud to have created a loyal following of delegates, with many returning guests travelling from within and outside of London.

In line with our mission, the Network has enabled delegates to forge new connections, acquire new clients, gain speaking and exhibitor positions and embarked on sustainable collaboration projects (see below Collaborator Feedback).

We are always looking for innovative and passionate Event Collaborators and are planning our 2020 event programme now! If you would like to get involved please contact us via the Contact Us page for more information.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Sonya Meagor

Founder of the North London Sustainability Network and eco cuisine

Why did you set up the North London Sustainability Network?

As a lifelong environmentalist and eco-business owner, I’ve worked with individuals, large private and public sector organisations, non-profits and charities who share common interests in a variety of sustainable matters.

After discussions with peers in the eco sector, I saw the opportunity to create a local forum for individuals and businesses to come together to explore the many facets of environmental and sustainability issues. In July 2018, the Network was born with its first event held at the Millfield Theatre!

Our Mission is for the Network to act as a conduit – helping to foster new relationships across the private, public and non-profit sectors.

Event Collaborator Feedback

“Having been a speaker at a previous NLSN event on sustainable packaging, we saw first hand the incredible community that they had created. The room was buzzing with switched on delegates and event collaborators passionate about the sustainability agenda. The Network is aligned with our values and we are proud to support them.”

Kaushal Shah, CEO, envoPAP

“TRAID delivered a talk as part of the NLSN’s event exploring sustainable fashion. It was a professionally put together evening that attracted a wide ranging and engaged audience – from the local community to council leaders. We made some excellent contacts and interest in TRAID’s work saw us invited to deliver a talk on the positive environmental impacts of clothes reuse with a London council.”

Leigh McAlea, Head of Communications, TRAID

“Our engagement with the NLSN Has been a joy. Honest genuine people with a sense of real purpose and fun to be with. In this fast paced world it’s fantastic to meet like minded people who have an ethical conscious as we do with our brand Belles of London.”

Jenny Holloway, CEO, Fashion Enters and Belles of London

“I was invited to speak at the green Architecture & Ecobuild event and have since returned to attend other events. Networks of people with similar interests are very important especially in the era of the climate crisis – people feel they need to connect with like-minded people. The North London Sustainability Network are doing just that.”
